Web Developer

The role will primarily be creating, updating and maintaining the companies websites and integration, developing new features.

Duties and Responsibilities

To design and develop the corporate websites ensuring strong functionality and optimisation.

To design and develop relational database systems and their web interfaces.

Responsible for maintaining and configuration new and existing shopping carts, and to create new static websites based on Dreamweaver templates.

Responsible for integrating the local windows server database with the company websites.

Responsible for the design of company web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality.

To develop web page infrastructure and applications related to pages with more advanced graphics and features.

To assist the Company Director in the planning of overall company strategy regarding web development and search engine optimisation.

To monitor/maintain web server and site technical performance.

To create and update of HTML/CSS email newsletters, product listings, banners and news posts.

Skills / Attributes Required

Proven Web and Database Development experience.

In depth PHP, MYSQL, XML, JavaScript, CSS and (X) HTML knowledge.

Proficient in use of Adobe CS4 products.

Strong database knowledge specifically MySQL.

Web / Graphical Design skills would be desirable.

A flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small team.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

The right candidate will need to be logical and thorough, with the ability to interpret and communicate technical information accurately. A strong use of grammar and accurate spelling will also be essential for written content and communications.
